This safari
features abundant wildlife, boat safaris in Selous, walking safaris, 4x 4 game
drives and sight seeing tours.
Day 1: Pick up from the hotel/Airport and
drive down south and to Selous Game Reserve. At 55,000 km sq, Selous is the largest protected largest game
reserve in the world. It is named after
legendary British hunter-explorer Frederick Courtney Selous, who was killed
here during the WW1. Have Overnight at
Lodge/Campsite Full Board.
Day 2: Morning

Selous boasts of Tanzania's
largest population of elephant as well as large numbers of herds of buffalo,
hippo, crocodile, wild dog, a variety of 440 species of birds, over 2000
variety of plants, hot volcanic springs, lagoons, the great Rufiji River
and the diverse landscape makes Selous Game Reserve a World Heritage site. Other species commonly seen are lion, bushbuck, impala, giraffe,
eland, baboon, zebra and greater kudu.
Day 03: full day in In Selous game reserve for walking safaris
and 4 x 4 game drives. Have Meals and overnight at camp or Lodge.
Day 4: After
Breakfast we depart with packed lunch Boxes for a full day game drive in Mikumi
National Park. Have Overnight
at lodge/Campsite full board.
Mikumi N.P. is Tanzania's
third largest National Park and covers an area of 3230 sq
km. One of the principal features of Mikumi is
the Mkata River flood plain, an area of lush
vegetation, which particularly attracts elephants and buffaloes. The park is
flanked between the Uluguru and Udzungwa
Mountains. Open grasslands
dominate in the flood plain, eventually merging with the miombo woodlands
covering the lower hills. Mikumi
National Park is home to
buffalos, giraffes, elephants, lions, zebras, leopards and is also famous for
its wild dogs and 6m long pythons
Day 5: After breakfast go for a morning until lunch, after
lunch depart for Dar es Salaam. On
arrival you are dropped at the airport to connect with your flight home.
